WHAT WE DO:

We conduct an assessment of your security configuration. That includes the means you employ to protect assets and people. You will receive a comprehensive, objective appraisal of your present security arrangements and recommendations for any indicated improvements.

WHAT WE DON'T DO:

We don't sell cameras, access systems or any type of security hardware. We don't conduct investigations. We don't provide guard services.

WHO NEEDS A SECURITY AUDIT?

Any institution or firm whose assets exceed $5 million and is currently making a substantial investment in security will benefit from an impartial security audit. Perhaps you should spend more for security. Or maybe a reduction in costs is justified. We'll find out.

WHY CAN'T WE DO IT IN-HOUSE?

You can. Especially if you can free a talented and energetic person from your security or audit staff, give them sufficient time to conduct the review and sufficient time to write the report. What you can't give them is the objectivity and experience we have in conducting security audits. A do-it-yourself project works at home, but at the workplace in the fast-moving security field it is better to have a professional do the job.

WHO WILL DO IT?

The project will be directed by Bob Murphy, Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Security Audit Inc. president and a former FBI Special Agent. He will be assisted by staff, as needed. He has been conducting security audits for 25 years.

We will interview personnel within your security department and review pertinent records there. We will interview department heads of those units in your organization who use the services of the security department and other employees at all levels. We will observe and conduct interviews during the day and at night. We will assess the effectiveness of your security hardware. Before we leave we will know quite a bit about the means you are presently using to protect your people and your assets. And we interview, if possible, senior staff including your president. We are always very well received at every organizational level.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

That depends on the size of your company or institution. We promise not to hang around endlessly. Prior to initiation we will provide a work plan with an estimate of the time components. We work intensively, day and night and we will appreciate your help in scheduling interviews and making available relevant materials for our review. We have a fine record in producing the report within the agreed time frame. If you are really big we could be there several weeks. Otherwise we can probably conduct the audit in 10 days or less.

WILL IT UPSET SECURITY MANAGEMENT?

We hope not. If security management has been doing its job there should be no reluctance in authorizing a security audit. On the personal level, it's somewhat like going to a physician for a yearly check-up. It's not an entirely fun thing, but it is wise to do so. We work very well with security management. A security audit is not a mission of destruction. It is a well- designed effort to measure the security posture of a firm or institution.

WHAT WILL IT COST?

The cost will be a very small fraction of your current security expenditures. Depending on the size of your company or medical center, the cost range is usually $5000 to $40,000. Before we start you will have a fairly firm estimate of the cost for services, and expenses to be incurred. After twenty-five years no client has ever told us that the security audit was a waste of time and money. And we fly coach, not first class.

WHEN WILL WE HAVE THE RESULTS?

At the conclusion of the on-site work we will sit down with you and give you a summary of our findings. We will also discuss tentative recommendations. There will be no surprises. You will be entirely aware of what will appear in the report. Within 30 days of our departure you will have the report.

WHAT TYPE OF CLIENTELE DO WE HAVE?

In a word, blue chip. The best organizations are pro-active. They have a security audit before asset losses or other security deficiencies are experienced. Our clients include some of the finest hospital and medical centers in the country, plus successful and prominent industrial and financial firms and educational institutions.

HOW CAN WE GET STARTED?

Call us at 574-277-2560 and let's discuss your situation. Perhaps we can arrange a meeting. Thereafter you will have our proposal outlining the objectives, scope approach, resolution, project organization, related experience of Security Audit Inc., fees and time commitment and client references. After you approve the proposal we will start on the agreed date.
